Building self-esteem involves small, consistent actions. Practicing self-compassion, setting achievable goals, maintaining healthy boundaries, and celebrating progress all help. Positive self-talk and mindfulness also boost confidence. These daily habits reinforce self-worth over time. According to Neff (2003), self-compassion significantly enhances emotional resilience and self-esteem.

13 years Addiction Medicine
As a seasoned healthcare professional with over 40 years of experience in family practice and 12 years specializing in addiction medicine, I have dedicated my career to enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities.
Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I spent two years at Tulsa University before transferring to Oklahoma State University to obtain my Bachelors of Science Degree. Then I went on to pursue my medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
My formative experiences during my internship at Cuyahoga Falls General solidified my commitment to patient-centered care and shaped my approach as a compassionate practitioner. Throughout my career, I have honed my clinical skills and developed a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding health, wellness, and the challenges faced by those struggling with addiction.
I believe in the power of holistic treatment and support, striving to create an environment where patients feel understood and empowered in their journey to recovery. My extensive experience in family medicine has equipped me with the insights necessary to address a wide range of health issues, while my focus on addiction medicine allows me to provide specialized care for patients facing substance use disorders.
As I continue to learn and grow in this evolving field, I am passionate about collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals and community organizations to foster innovative solutions that promote healthier lifestyles and improve access to care. Let's connect and explore ways to inspire change and enhance the quality of life for those we serve.

Services
Coaching
This personalized coaching program is designed to equip caregivers—parents, grandparents, and teachers—with practical tools and strategies to nurture strong, positive self-esteem in the children they support.
Through one-on-one sessions, participants learn how to identify and reinforce children's strengths, foster healthy communication, model confidence, and create emotionally safe environments. The coaching emphasizes real-life application, helping adults understand the deep impact of their words, actions, and expectations on a child's self-image, ultimately empowering them to raise resilient, confident, and emotionally balanced young individuals.
Workshops
One-Day Workshop Series: Building Self-Esteem in Children and Youth
These focused, one-day workshops are designed for teachers, caregivers, counselors, and anyone working directly with children and adolescents. Participants will learn:
Age-appropriate strategies to nurture healthy self-esteem
How to recognize and respond to signs of low confidence or self-worth
Practical tools and activities to use in classrooms, homes, or care settings
The role of relationships, language, environment, and feedback in self-concept development
Workshops are interactive, evidence-based, and tailored to equip adults with the skills to build resilience, confidence, and a positive self-image in the children they support—at any age.
